Hello, my name is Jon Klapp.

I have been a gun enthusiast for about 25 years. I first pressed the trigger on a shotgun when I was about four years old (with my dad's help, of course!).

Since then, I have become much more interested in shooting and sharing my passion for safe gun ownership. Owning a gun is MUCH more than just...owning a gun. Gun ownership requires a great deal of education, understanding and responsibility.

I am here to teach you the basics of safe and responsible firearm ownership. I would love to talk to you about your journey and understand how I can help you be a safe gun owner!

 

By attending one of my classes, I will expose you to safe gun handling practices, live-fire training at the range and provide you with the knowledge to make an educated decision about gun ownership.

 

As a novice to guns, you may be intimidated when going to a gun dealer and ask questions. What are the right questions? How do I ask them? What terminology do I use? Let me help you navigate through this awkward and potentially intimidating situation. After your training (and completely optional to you) I offer one-on-one shopping to the gun dealer of your choice. I will be there to help you make a good decision about buying a gun--even if that decision is NOT buying a gun.
